Realistic DX-302 Fun and Folly.

Greeting all, new member here searching for help on stuff I shouldn't be doing?
I've recently acquired this DX-302 (on eBay of course). It is in excellent condition except for a few heat related issues due to bad storage.
Is this a good place to be seeking help.? (for the radio)?
