How i can read cd in cd-rom whithout a computer to do the work?

The CD-ROM is an IDE ATA device that have a standard IDE ATA interface
This interface is on 16 bits of data and support a lot of commands for the controler which is located inside of every IDE ATA device(HDD, CD-ROM).

Search for MP3 projects.
There are quite a few that use CD and HD as a medium.
