Here is the set-up....I get TV's,Monitors and Laptops with cracked LCD panels. I am looking to re-use the backlights as lightboards for photo and medical use.

I have a pair of cold cathode tubes with the inverter board/power supply PCB.
AC comes in,there is a connector to the next board with the following pin-out.

o=pin

ADJ>o o <EVA
GND>o o<GND
N/A>o o<DET
+5v>o o<+5v
+12v>o o<V_adj
mute>o o<SHUT
AOR->o o<AOR+
AOL->o o<AOL+

I know I need constant V between 2 pins to keep the tube on after start. I need V momentary between 2 pins to start it. And some to the shut off pin to shut it off.
This is out of a laptop. I have successfully fired these tubes before, Just can't seem to recreate that combination of pins required to fire it and keep it on.

Open to ideas.
