Thanks for taking the time to look at this but would like some advice into how to convert this to a 12 volt project as i want to use 12 volt lights instead of led's any help on how to do this would be helfpfull
It depends on how much current your light bulbs use. If the current is low then why bother changing the value of each current-limiting and sensing resistor connected to the LEDs. A low current light bulb is dimmer than an LED.
If your light bulbs use a higher current so they get nice and hot then the entire circuit must be re-designed.
