PT 8A978BP / Z0542JW (RC encoder / Decoder)

Looking for the datasheet for this chip... It's on a circuit that I am trying to modify for what I need, and has been removed from a small, cheap remote control car. The only reference to it on the net I can find that gives me anything other than the chance to buy 2000 of them is here, and that is it.

Any info thankfully received.

I would have thought you're going to struggle, they are only cheap toys and cheap chips from unknown Chinese manufacturers - I doubt datasheets are available?.

I managed to find one, if they work together you can find out
what the other does.
