Does anyone know where to get low-cost motor control modules? Application would be to power a small toy motor, intermittently, based on keyed-in programming. For example, run the motor for 0.5 seconds every 6 hours?
You could use a small PIC or ATTiny microcontroller, triggering a transistor; provided you didn't need the motor to change direction, such a device could be made fairly small (with SMT parts, smaller than a nickle, probably); as far as something pre-built, I don't know of anything, but maybe somebody else does...
