Reason for asking is the 10ft cable link from PIC to LED's.
If you are thinking about a later upgrade to Bigger/Brighter leds I would consider using ULN2803 drivers
between the PIC output pins and the LED's.
The ULN can accept PIC output levels and is able to drive loads upto +50V at a few hundred mA's.
