In Canada the police shoot you and chop off your head if they catch you with a flashing blue light. Even in summer blue is reserved for snowplows.

I haven't noticed because there is hardly any crime up here. The police cars that I see are just driving along looking like every other car, except when they are speeding to a doughnut shop.
