Plasma TV black vertical stripe

Hello everybody
Is this fault even repairable? I have a 12 year old Panasonic Viera plasma TV which has just developed a wide vertical bar on the screen, I'm hoping for it to be straightforward like a dodgy connector. Anyone got any pointers?

Usually it would be a failure inside the panel, but you could check the connections to it?.

I have 7 plasma tvs with all of em having different problems. I could also use some help. Maybe if you need a part I could send you one of the tvs I can't repair.
