Once, long time ago, in the Microchip forum I asked one question like yours. I got the "RTFM" reply.
It means "Read the f***ing manual". They were right.
Crude but true. Basic definitions are all there.
Doubts on specific points, here. If you can reach a forum you can reach the manuals with erratas included :!:
