Hi

I would like to interface my phone line to a PIC microcontroller to digitize the voice signal, do some processing and then convert the signal back to analog phone signal to be fed to phone set. How do I interface my PIC circuit to the phone line and to the phone set?

Or is there any other alternative DSP chip available which is designed specifically for such application for insertion between phone line and the phone set?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Its called an audio isolation transformer. Look at an old computer modem...
