For a Digital Storage Oscilloscope , what does the resolution mean when the unit for the resolution is time. eg. 2 pico seconds.

you will usually see two measures

one will be kS/s and the other will be a descrete time (like you see) this is the time between points

It's the time per unit on the reticle (grid). Be sure you have the grid turned on so you can see it.
