Old Zenith TV set

Old Zenith TV SAR2153BT7, with horizontal line (vertical scan off), was changed Vert Out IC, problem continue, was checked all related components, are Ok. Some suggestion for to check?

First thing your new Vertical I.C needs power to/on it to be able to work. Google the Vertical I.C number and then check with a multimeter to see if it has supply voltage on said pins.

Yes, a VERY common problem is that when the IC fails, it blows the safety resistors which provide it's HT.

Not in a Zenith it wouldn't be!

They never used valves with proper numbers.
