now i'm off to igniter

now that i understand and tested several cdi circuit. now, i am curiuos about this "electronic advance" circuit. Mostly i see is controlled by PICXXXXXX, but is there any other circuit without that chip? please share, and by the way i can't buy a whole unit for its rare in our market.
