Not understanding 50hz or 60hz hums, which is it

Just submitted my final year project report... I'll be doin' a "credits show" dedicated to ETO someday for helping me with my project, certainly ain't a rhetorical one.. but of course, it'll be prone to constructive criticisms anyway.. but I'll take my chances.
