Need 2 good speakers of living room TV ???

The complaint is that the sound level from the external speakers with the volume controls turned up is less than from the TV but the sound quality is better from the external speakers. Then the speaker system does not have enough gain.
Gary, any sound sytem distorts sounds very badly when turned up too high. Does the speaker system distort badly when turned up?

The sound system produces better qualtity sound than TV speakers just not as loud at the TV speakers. Your right it is a cheapo system make to look nice.

How are you connecting it to your TV?, is it via the headphone socket, and thus mutes the internal speakers in the TV?. Does your TV have optical or digital out, and your sound bar have the same in?.
