Impact of Tariffs on PCB Fab

I made a smaller start on my solder tip holder – a 3D printed holder to fit around my soldering iron holder. It's actually more useful, keeping the tips I use readily accessible.

This is for a Schneider 80 Watt temperature-controlled Soldering Station from Harbor Freight. The tip holder drops around the base and is a firm fit. Yeah, I know, Harbor Freight. When my 20 year old temperature-controller Weller station gave up the ghost (and tips were impossible to find), Harbor Freight had a great price on this station, so I took the chance and I'm reasonably impressed. This is the 80 watt station: the 50 watt station doesn't look as decent.

I don't think the stand will too hot and melt the PLA.

Perhaps this thread needs a new title - unless I'm not getting the connection between tariffs and a solder tip holder. I would call it kindling for an intense fire. PLA softens at about 60°C, melts at. 250 and turns into beautiful flames in the range of 350 to 380°C - I recommend keeping your solder station set below that temp. Well below that temp, I'm not sure how accurate the temp control is on a Harbor Freight soldering station.

Two things... It's his thread clearly he do what he wants with it.. Secondly, The Iron holder ISN'T PLA only the little tip holder.

Your obvious distain for this forum member is very apparent, please refrain from commenting, I have asked a couple of times. I shall not ask again.
