Hey friends, I found a virtual LED museum on the net. Its simply great. It has all information related to LEDs starting from its discovery. Anyone interested can have a look at **broken link removed**

BTW, Laser diodes are more common than you may think!
A CD-ROM drive has a 650nm laser.
The microsoft mouses also use 650nm lasers.
S/PDIF connectors on high-end sound cards are yet another application for 650nm lasers.
