MPlab ASCII confusion need help

MOVLW 'O' ; does the letter 0 in MPLAB is read as ASCII code

Outputting wrong ASCII format in PIC16f877a

one more question my pic outputting the word POV in my visual basic as other distorted language but in simulation is running fine. Is it the hardware problem or my max232 is going crazy?
