MITSUBISHI DLP PROBLEM

I have two customers that have Mitsubishi DLP TV's that have small dots on the screen. One on the upper left, the other on the upper right. Would a failing lamp cause this?

dead pixels are common manufacture defects. Is the pixels clustered together?

these are both 65" TV's, the dots are grouped in the whole corner area about an inch to two inches apart.

Thanks MAGVITRON... Turns out you were right. This model has a bad reputation of the VC chip going south. The good part is Mitsubishi will cover the chip but not the labor.
FYI... anyone having questions regarding satellite or security/cameras, White's metal detectors, I've been selling and servicing this stuff for 29 years.
