Hello, i found this design **broken link removed**.
Is it possible to use this circuit with a dynamic mic if one omits the circuitry begining from R5 all the way to the left? Is any other modifications needed?
Yes, the circuit to the left of the mic is for bias on the electret mic which is not needed with a dynamic mic. I don't know how the output of the two microphones compare, there might be gain considerations ( R9, R10, R11).
If you remove R5, dynamic mic should do just fine.
If you want to play with the characterisitic of the preamplifier,
you can try to change values of elements such as C5, C9, R9 and C10
but I would leave it as is unless you have some advanced equipment
to verify the characteristics after each change.
