metal detector sensor

Need some suggestions please!

Is there any suitable transducer to detect metal buried underground?

The sensor needs to be small to go on a small to be build for a project.

Please, I need suggections on what type of sensors available and where I can get them from.

I have had a look there. They all seem to be full consumer products.

I might need to buy a cheap one and extract the relevant electronics from there to use it in my project?
