Linearizing potentiometer

Hi, Any ideas how to linearize a potentiometer?
Its nonlinearity is now 0.5% but I need it to increase to 0.1%.

A simple lookup table would do the trick. You would have to measure the resistance curve for every Pot you use though- very time consuming if you're going to make more than a few of them. What are you using the pot for. For that kind of accuracy closed loop control might be better.

What do I need to program an EEPROM with a lookup table?
DO I use a programmer or PIC control? What is the difference?

Is it hard to use the softwares to program the EEPROM?
