have a LG23XL1RV tv/dvd combo which has failed after static shock, turns on all by itself and scrolls the channels nonstop, remote or buttons on tv do not work.
The chances you can successfully troubleshoot the exact chip that was fried and find a replacement let alone actually remove the old one and replace it is virtually impossible.
this set is repairable........its most prob to do with a corrupt nvm,have done a few of these ,give me the exact model and ill see if i can locate the dump for you
