P PedroDaGr8 New Member Aug 22, 2009 #4 Dead panel. Column driver or two is damaged (ask me how I know ). AFAIK that's not fixable other than getting a replacement panel.

If you've got an identical set, with a smashed screen, you could try switching the LVDS boards - these are the small electronics board on the back of the LCD, and come as part of it.
