Laptop LCD

Hi all

I have a laptop: Toshiba satellite a105-s4084 wtih the LCD: lp154w01.
And I was wondering if I could somehow make it to operate without the laptop.
So that I could mount it on the side of my computer and it would show me some stuf and cool graphics (fan rpm,V,A...) .
And I want to know tha chip should I use for that.

Is it worth doing it ? I have a lot of time

Most of the electronics for the display is on the motherboard, you would need to duplicate that - it's pretty much a non-starter.

And If i would control it via vga cable as an second monitor ?

ok than i will ask somethin else would the laptop start without a hdd ? when i connect it to the adapter the lights appear for charging and that its connecte to the adapter.
