IR Query

Good day!
im kinda new to RF and IR, just wanted to experiment...
i have a schematic here for an FM PLL transmitter...my question is if i changed the antenna to a IR LED would i still be able to transmit audio? would an IR receiver tuned to it be able to receive the transmitted audio?

No, you would need to redesign it completely.

ahh...ok...sounds complicated...i'll just stick to IR circuit samples on the net...
