Inductor

What type of coil? wound on what? ferrite, iron, air

What is "24SWG"?

What inductance value are you looking for?
A single layer solenoid is easiest to calculate accurately, but if you need higher inductance values than what can be practically obtained from a single layer winding then there are some multi-layer formulae that are reasonably accurate. There is no single formula that is good for every geometric configuration.

BTW, according to this online calculator:
https://www.coilwindingmachines.eu/engineers_corner/awg_swg_converter.html
#24SWG = .559 mm which would be equivalent to #23.2 AWG
