how to hook the output of a smoke detector?

hello to everyone...

is there anyway i could convert the output alarm/sound of a smoke detector like into a voltage signal instead of its usual alarm?so i can convert it into analog signal and send it on a wireless mode..for a receiver?

pls ..pls...pls..any idea will be gladly appreciated...

hello!!!

you can use a MC145010 Photoelectric Smoke Detector IC with I/O (made by Motorola) in order to connect the smoke detector output to any other device you want to incorporate into the device... information aboout the IC including a sample circuit can be found in Motorola's website..
