How to build a band pass filter?

You keep assuming a speaker
The very first post has a sig gen , the filter then a speaker: "If I connect a signal generator to a speaker with the band pass filter in 1 of the wires to the speaker it should block all the other frequencies of the signal generator except the 3KHz tone."
No power amplifier was mentioned.
