Help with IRDA wow

Hi every one..

I need a help with my design, Please

I have an infrared IRDA chip (HSDL 1001) and I need to connect that chip

with a Microcontroller. so, I am looking for a datasheet for connecting them

OR a digram for a connection between IRDA (HSDL 1001) and a

Microcontroller. I searched in lots of websites but I could not find any thing

useful. I hope anyone can help me out in my project, please.

that chip is a basic self contained irda transceiver ... it will connect to your microcontroller the same way any other serial transceiver would ... that is, via the hardware UART or a software emulated uart.

TXD to your uC's TX pin ... RXD to your uC's RX pin, Shutdown pin probably pulled to ground or V+ through a 10k resistor... the rest should be self explanatory.
