The problem of having the printout smaller than the design size may be caused by the tranparency shrinking as it goes throug the printer. If you do not us heat stabilized transparencies the heat from the laser printer will cause them to shrink. This makes your printed image smaller than intended.
If this is what is causing the error you can pre-shrink the tranparencies by sending them through the printer a few times, prining nothing. You can measure the actual page to see if it is smaller than before.
