Help required

Hi, the attachment is a schematic of SMPS built using IC TL494. The problem is that the capacitors C4,C5 get to much hot under full load. please guide what to do?

The circuit diagram and web site just show them as 1000uf capacitors rated at 25v connected across the power supply.

But with an SMPS , high quality, low ESR types should be used because they can cope with the high frequency ripple.

May be best to check that you are using components all with the right esr, voltage,temperature etc. ratings for such a project.

Thanks for reply, please guide where to find such capacitor observing the ESR & high temperature stability. Because normally available aluminum capacitors have low temperature rating (85 or 105 degree centigrade).
