My tutor would like me to write an essay on the topic of Regulate the power output of solar energy though inverters. However I don't understand it well.
Does inverters mean frequency converter or something else?

Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thx all.

Ning you regulate solar power with a regulator then an inverter converts the dc to mains AC. Also batteries are needed for storage. There is a wealth of information out there so go do some research and learn. That's the only way you'll learn anything, getting your essay handed to you on a platter (not that anyone would give it to you) won't do you any good.

Regards Bryan

Thank you VERY MUCH Bryan

Of course, he ~could~ mean the input Voltage or power regulating property of an MPPT battery-less, grid tie, PV inverter.

This topic is fairly simple. My favorite power electronics book is: "POWER ELECTRONICS
HANDBOOK". this book is the bible of power electronics field. read the chapter about Inverters.....if you understand it i believe you will get an A grade.
Good Luck
