I am in the process of designing some musical instruments for some young educationally challenged people, The instrument aspect is no problem, My problems are electronics orientated, In the case of a metal stringed instrument i would like to be able to trigger and illuminate possibly 10 - 15 coloured LEDs, These could be random or in sequence. This is to create an extra visual inspiration to the person playing the instrument. the trigger being the physical contact with the strings, I suspect that would be via a resistance change,

The second circuit would be similar but triggered by a persons breath being blown on i suspect an air activated reed switch.

This two circuits I am sure is straight forward to most of your members detailed advice is needed, to assist me in purchasing the components would be useful, the soldering is no problem, members help would be much appreciated. Mike - shihanob1
