How fast is "rapidly?" What is your present circuit? What is between the 555 and your coil?

there is a project on this site about spark without a battery... also do tell what the project is and how rappid that u want....

have nothing yet played with a 555 timer a little
and need to go on off about 2 or 3 times a second
