Hi everyone
I have been studying RTC's with PIC"s

I ran across this project
A 16F88 PIC Based Clock and Calendar using a Dallas DS1307 RTC Device for battery backed up timekeeping | Blue Mountains Amateur Radio Club

Looks simple but I code in asm and don't know what language this is written in. looks like basic I think could be micro basic or whoever basic or C from whoever
There is no standard with PIC software that is why I use asm
Thanks in advance
Can anybody help me out. Identifining

have fun

There's a module for the DS-1307 in Swordfish Basic. This would be a fairly simple project using the free Swordfish Special Edition version.

+1 Swordfish is awesome. The OP will need an 18F part. A 18F1320 would fit the bill.

Thanks for the help. I don't have a copy of proton basic. I researched proton basic and it doesn't seem to support the P16f88 ? I also looked at proton basic pro and that won't work either.

I don't know if i want to start learning another language right now. I guess were I am at is trying to run the RTC in asm. sort of a personal challenge just to see if I can do it. its a great learning experience so I think I am going to stay with it in asm.

thanks for your help and advice
