Help! Circuit on ac/dc switching

Sorry mate. No person required on your side. Operation is automatic.

Forgot to mention that "whoever" in the previous post can be he/she/it. So it can also be a relay, or some mechanism which actually changeover 12V back to AC230V and is outside your control.

I have no comment on the use of an inductor to protect 12V application from AC230V.
