help!!!8051 based runing display proj

plz help me in doin a 8051 based six 16 seg running display or lcd based project tell everythin from components to interfacing

So which is it, sixteen segment LEDs or an LCD?
If it's the 16 segment LEDs I'd check into the Maxim MAX6954
If it's an LCD look for one with a serial interface.

When YOU choose the parts YOU want to use, and when YOU come up with a rough draft of a schematic then maybe we'll have something to talk about.
