Hand mixer stuck at highest speed

Hello,

Not sure this is even electronics as it seems so basic but my mixer has no more speed variation and always runs at full speed.

I have no idea what could go wrong as this is such a simple device and I suppose it just connects to a different amount of turns in the coil when I move the switch.

If it is the kind that has a triac, this could be shorted?

Thanks for your answer. Can't see any... But it's got a "Turbo" microswitch on the side that could be shorted (how did I miss this?)
