Generator coils in series

If generator coils are wound in a series circuit will the voltage be the same among each coil, or will each coil that is closer to the load have a successively higher voltage? I am wondering this, because if each coil has a successively higher load it will produce an unbalanced inductance on the rotor. If I'm not making any sense feel free to say it lol. Thanks for the help.
 
Are you talking about per turn of wire in one coil, or two or more sets of coils connected in series?

A "coil" is usually wound around a single pole piece, so all the turns in that coil would have the same instantaneous induced volts per turn. Obviously, the current is the same in each turn. If you connected two or more sets of coils where each is wound on a different pole piece, depending on the configuration of rotating field, the induced voltage in the different coils might peak at different positions of the rotor.
 
Yes difficult question, another 'coil' meaning a seperate entity as mike implies will not be in the same magnetic field as any other coils, therefore probably will not have the opportunity to generate more or less from the same field.
To answer your question 2 coils in the same field would produce double the voltage as 1, if it were possible to arrange.
