geared motor to revolve oval platform

as a hobyist with almost no motor knowledge i need a motor maybe geared to revolve an oval platform to set up miniature conveyer belt. i need the oval to keep turning in the same direction without becoming horizontal then vertical. i have my mini people "adding" thir parts to the product but dont know how to make the oval turn and move along slowly. please advise

How do the belt and platform interact? I can't visualise the setup from how you describe it?
