The flux stops the solder beads which have low-volume and high surface area from oxidizing instantly rendering it unusable. Also stops it from becoming airborne.

It's also not lead-free either, it's clearly described as leaded solder, and even gives the lead/tin ratio further down in the specs. As others have said though, why flux free? - what's the point of solder that won't solder?.
