excessive ghosting on 8 x 8 matrix

The term is sub routine, not "sub route". Words matter, especially in programming.

Glad I was able to help you get the ADC working.

The rest is up to you — as I've explained, I can't follow what you're trying to do and I don't have the time to figure it out.
