Everything is Hazardous.jpg

So I went to https://www.p65warnings.ca.gov/ and left this message for them.

I was looking online at a Rotary style Light dimmer with OFF position. They had a WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects.
And an explanation that they are a small company and don't have resources to test every product, so they list everything as hazardous.
If everything is hazardous, then everyone will ignore California warning labels like I have for the last 30 years.
So what good is it?

Almost every thing is hazardous.
US only; about 10 people die from too much H2O each day. "drown" "This bottle of water could kill you."
World wide about 1,000,000 people die in a car yearly.

Many people die from old age every day. That should be against the law.

Should be fairly simple to get ALL our Senators to support a bill like that...

Even if they exclude themselves from this Law (which they ordinarily do), we'd still come out ahead.

I had repaired a small generator in a boat. While waiting for engine to warm up, I noticed about 15 warning labels all over it. With time to kill, I started reading them.
Don't stick your fingers in the belts / pulleys.
Don't stick your fingers in the electrical terminals.
Don't stick your fingers in the hot coolant.
Don't stick your fingers on the hot exhaust manifold.
Don't stick your fingers in the diesel air intake. It could suck you in.
Don't pick up the generator. It is heavy.
Don't drink the anti-freeze.
Don't sniff the exhaust.
Don't eat the paint.
When they put that many stickers on something, I disregard all of them.
So far, I have thwarted natural selection using common sense.
