Encoder PCB connection simple question

Hello everyone,

I am going to use for a project a magnetic encoder, and now I am designing the schematic to later get the PCB manufactured. My question is pretty simple, since I am not familiar at all in PCB design or schematics. The Quadrature A and B pins and index have to be connected to the controller, but do I have to connect them also to a pin header or something? So I can directly measure their outputs if I need it, without passing through the microcontroller.

Thank you very much in advance.

It is handy to have test pins on the PCB for signals you wish to measure. Especially if it's surface mount.
