Hi! newbie here!

Is it OK to use ordinary DVD-ROM as DVD player without the computer? If yes, pls. post schematic on how to do it. Thanks in andvance.

It would be possible, but completely impractical, you essentially have to build a computer to do it!. Considering you can buy DVD players for almost nothing these days, why bother?.
