3v0 I was gonna say you could use a micro controller, but you stole that in the first post already =)
If you're bust on the rocket idea, how about Mars in this mass launcher system I designed? I'm pretty sure all we have to do is scale it up a bit.

Hi Mick,
This echoed my feelings exactly.

hi Gabe,
A technological spin off from your idea would help the OP who wants to change his voice from male to female....thinking outside the box, if you get my drift.

I can tell that you are a wise and experienced engineer Eric. The ability to adapt a single project for multiple purposes is never overrated. Keep it up, you'll go far in this field.

LOL - "3V0 goes here"

Whatever you do, do not use that schematic of the Russian model that Bill introduced.

It has lots of bugs in it.

What a great project for "Scrapheap Challenge" in the U.S. I believe it was called "Junkyard Wars"

Junkyard Wars is of British origins... it's broadcasted here in the states. It's a novel show but all the armchair blabbery analysis and the documententing of team arguments ruins the show IMHO.

I'm not sure I see the point in such a project aside from it makes a good video clip. While I'm sure it was a fantastic effort, no work was done, in the end nothing was accomplished. If it reached its target goal of 4000 feet it didn't even come within 1/100th of the distance required to enter a low earth orbit. I would rather see a full scale mockup of the shell rather than a 1/10th scale giant toy, that gets popped off once.

So we gona build one that uses actual liquid rocket fuel or what?
If it dont work whats the worst that could happen?

Oh yea ... never mind!
