Hi all:
I need to make a small push type solenoid , net 2mm diameter with a 1mm stroke, 5cm long.
20g force. 12VDC supply.
At that diameter including wire wrap, it seems not possible.

I need some help with this.

Do you need a continuous push, or just a very brief one? I'm thinking high current pulse might just do the job, but high continuous current would let out the magic smoke.

Hmm, not certain of the duty cycle but I'd estimate perhaps 25%

What pulse frequency? Rapid pulsing will require low inductance and high current.
