Can someone put this through the Oshonsoft SIM, please. I can't get the Start up LEDs to flash at 1 sec ON/OFF.

Okay... Swapping OSC = HS to OSC = XT brings it back to 1 second..

If you are using the internal oscillator, then you have to set the frequency to 4Mhz in OSCCON register.
Define clock_frequency = 4 only tells the compiler what the frequency is to be used in waitus, waitms delays, not to set it.

No, if you use the internal oscillator.
In the program there is no code for the oscillators frequency setting.
